Occasionally the two could be confused…variscite is often a more minty green or brighter green! :) This is a thick stone that is not treated. Untreated softer stones will often darken when exposed to oils from your hands, lotions, products, etc…over time. So take care not to wear this gem in the shower, water, rub with oily hands and so forth. It’s best practice not to anyways…but more so with any untreated stone.
