Variscite is a mineral commonly mined in the same regions as turquoise. Occasionally the two could be confused…variscite is often a more minty green or brighter green! I love gemmy green :) The Anna Maria pendant features beautiful a shade of that bright mint green with a little black matrix. It is a thick stone that is not treated. Untreated softer stones will often darken when exposed to oils from your hands, lotions, products, etc…over time. So take care not to wear this gem in the shower, water, rub with oily hands and so forth. It’s best practice not to anyways…but more so with any untreated stone. This baby is sterling silver and approximately 1.25” long and 1” at widest point. It comes on a hefty 3mm thick 18” long black rubber/sterling silver necklace. Rubber is an excellent vegan alternative to leather :)
